Pride Month is a time to recognize one of the most significant events that led to the modern movement for LGBTQ+ rights in the United States: the Stonewall uprising in Greenwich Village (a documentary by MacArthur Fellow David Isay’s StoryCorps titled Stonewall OutLoud chronicles the stories of people who were there).

Many MacArthur Fellows who identify as LGBTQ+ are tackling a number of issues in a wide range of fields, so we are taking this opportunity to amplify their voices and encourage you to explore their work.
