Over the past few weeks, many of us have adjusted to new schedules and realities as COVID-19 (commonly known as coronavirus) accelerates its spread all over the world.

In the face of this unprecedented crisis, we expressed our unwavering support for all of our grantees around the world and took notice of how MacArthur Fellows responded to the outbreak in incredibly creative ways.

Some created schedules…

…provided public health information and ideas on how to mitigate the wide-ranging effects of the outbreak…

…advocated for those affected by the outbreak…

…talked about their new working situations…

…shared playlists…

…cobbled together resources, educational tools and anecdotes…

…discussed the environmental impact of the outbreak…

…and performed and released (or re-released) creative work:

Learn more about the MacArthur Fellowship, a $625,000, no-strings-attached award to extraordinarily talented and creative individuals as an investment in their potential…

…and keep an eye on our social media platforms, where we will continue to highlight the work of the MacArthur Fellows and all of our grantees:

Learn more about how the MacArthur Foundation is responding to the COVID-19 outbreak and the support we are providing during the pandemic. We have also shared guidance with regard to COVID-19 to protect the well-being of our staff, visitors to the Foundation, and people participating in MacArthur convenings. You can also review updates on the CDC website for more general information regarding the situation.
