Sesame Workshop and International Rescue Committee on 60 Minutes

Last night, 60 Minutes profiled Sesame Workshop and the International Rescue Committee, two organizations teaming up on a major new effort to educate and empower young Syrian refugees:

They were the $100 million recipient in MacArthur’s inaugural 100&Change competition, and they are focused on creating a new children’s television show in the region called Ahlan Simsim, which means “Welcome Sesame” in Arabic. Check out the piece and the 60 Minutes Overtime feature on their new endeavor:

And their full presentation at our finalist event in 2017, which was featured on the broadcast:

Here’s how social media reacted to the piece. And don’t forget to watch the full segment for yourself:

We support creative people and effective institutions committed to building a more just, verdant, and peaceful world. ⚖🌿☮🌎
